Cheyenne Oosthuizen is a registered Dietitian based in Cape Town with a passion for helping people transform their health with a whole food plant-based diet.


Cheyenne first completed a BSc in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at Stellenbosch University before completing her honours in Human Nutrition & Dietetics at UCT. Cheyenne is currently working as both a clinical and private practicing dietitian in Cape Town, South Africa. Cheyenne also locums at various mental health clinics around Cape Town where she facilitates group nutritional therapy sessions and individual consultations to aid patients in making healthy dietary changes.


Cheyenne offers one on one online nutrition consultations. You will receive a meeting link prior to your consultation.

Please note that all consultation fees are due immediately after the completion of the service. Alternatively and if preferred, Cheyenne will submit the claim to your medical aid on your behalf if your medical aid covers this service. Should your medical reject the claim, you will be required to pay the full amount.

Medical Nutrition Therapy

Cheyenne is equipped with knowledge to assist with general healthy eating, weight loss, sports nutrition, pregnancy nutrition, vegan and vegetarian nutrition and the nutritional management of various diseases and conditions.

Individual Initial Consultations

Duration: 60 minutes

The initial consultation will include a full nutritional assessment where we will work through your medical, clinical, exercise, weight, and diet history. I will also review your biochemistry if your blood results are available. We will discuss and establish nutritional goals and you will receive practical nutritional and lifestyle guidelines. You will leave this session empowered with knowledge that will guide you on making appropriate food choices. Please kindly note that if an individualized eating plan is to be created after the initial consultation, a follow up consultation is required 3-5 working days later to discuss the eating plan, to revisit the goals and strategies set in the previous session and to address any difficulties being faced. Eating plans may be used to help you get to and stay at your goals, while meeting your nutritional requirements. Please note that eating plans are charged additionally.

Individual Follow Up Consultations

Duration: 30 - 45 minutes 

Follow up sessions are highly recommended. We will use this time to monitor your progress and troubleshoot anything that you may be struggling with to help keep you on track and motivated. These sessions will provide you with continued nutrition education and advice that will assist with changing eating habits and behaviours. Healthy eating involves being in tune with your body and learning to read and understand the signs that it sends you. This awareness allows you to make food choices that align with what your body is asking for to ensure that you nourish it according to your own unique needs. This takes time and patience, and you need to give your body the space to adjust to the changes. Follow up consultations also allow for the adjustment of eating plans. The number of follow up sessions that will need to be set will depend on your progress and overall health. Your first follow up consultation may range from 1-4 weeks after the initial consultation, depending on your needs.

Vitality Nutrition Consultations

Earn 1000 vitality points when you do a vitality assessment. During this 45-minute session, we will assess your weight and height and define your nutrition goals to help you achieve your health goals. 

It is recommended that you come in for a full 60-minute initial consultation to gain the most benefit from the initial consultation and if you would like an individualized eating plan. You will still be able to get your 1000 vitality points for this consultation.

Corporate Health & Wellness Events

1. Individual Nutrition Counselling: General healthy eating guidelines will be covered, and dietary and lifestyle recommendations will be made to meet the individual employees’ requirements.
2. Health Talks: Presentation of a nutrition topic that is tailored to meet the needs of your employees.
